I have OM 1.8.1 r4260 running on my machine and just tried adding an
event in the calendar. I was able to modify the text for the event
name, description, and was able to add attendees. However, when I
tried to save the event, I lost connection to the server with the
error dialog

If users created a video session, how long does Openmeeting to terminate
their session?
Inside the server configure files, can we change (increase or decrease) this
session time?
We are using:

what do you mean by session? There are multiple sessions that you
could refer to.
I guess you mean how long you can relogin when you hit the Remember
me checkbox?

as explained personally. This was my fault. I did an update without
using the installer.
The installer is only one time available.
What you see can never happen any usual user, only experts like me
that do not use the installer and use some tricks to update the
system.

Don't know if anyone else is experiencing this when installing but I'm
getting a java exception and the install fails
Windows 2k3 box, Xampp 1.7.3, r4260
Install creates the database and starts populating it. It gets to
adding ID 236 then starts on the language files. When it reaches
you've missed to set server-character-set=utf8 in your mysql server
config before installing openmeetings.
