Check which java you are running
at the prompt type: which java
try sudo update-alternatives --config java
I had lots of issue until I set the correct version.

i have a problem. I followed the Ubuntu 10.04 Installation How-To, but in
the end red5 is not running.
When I try to run it manually i get this :
sh /opt/red5/red5.sh
