I got red5 working on centos 5.2. for me, it was port conflicts.
some of the ports for red5 where listening to port that were listening
to other services. Once I changed the ports in red5.properties and sh
red5.sh, red5 is working. Now working on the next bug.

We are going through the same problem as you. Which version of red5?
Like you did them all. Now working on red5 snapshot. running into a
little error here with "ant dist" and "Could not create task or type
of type: manifestclasspath" error message.

Before each test run I have deleted any existing openmeeting
database. So, hibernate.cfg.xml always points to a new database. I
did as you suggested and checked the database for initial data. The
database had been created and the tables established but there was no
initial data.
