I am pretty sure i have done this, and the autocreate of the DB is utf8-general-ci. I cannot find any who is named utf8 only. in my.cnf i have this: default-character-set=utf8 character-set-server=utf8 During install it blasts trough a lot of single lines in the red5 window, and it is slower
