Install some flag file under /dev (/dev/.dont_run_udevtrigger_please,
you get the idea) and conditionally run udevtrigger based on that.

Hi Brandon,
at the end of the day you will need more than one audio backend. For now
I think you will be fine just polishing your ALSA backend. We will
probably go for alsa dmix until PA needs less CPU bandwitdh. Once we
switch back, alsa integration will be done, so you should still be fine
with
