I'm looking to modify the opennms source to send an email whenever someone
acknowledges a notification.
Could someone point me in the right direction in the code to do this?

No there is no such a button. But when I click more in recent event then The
only button at the bottom is "Bookmark the result".
can you share the screenshot if you seeing the button. and also let me know
which browser you are using so I can verify in that to. I am using safari on
mac.

There is a button on the bottom of the page. Se sequence is the following,
select the checkbox of the events you want to ack and then press the button
down the event box!
