Are you talking about the same patches that are published in gerrit, ending
with http://openocd.zylin.com/1464 ? Then please post your feedback there.
Most maintainers are relatively unfamiliar with the MIPS code base so it's
hard for us to tell if patches are in a mergeable state, i.e. without
breaking other MIPS configurations. Therefore, without third party review
and opinions, the patches risk going stale.
