Other thing came in my mind is using preload. But will not solve everything
you need.
Iframe can be an option, but in order to have the flexibility, you will lose
good things like social data, caching, etc.

If your target is Orkut, it is using 0.8 and has some 0.9 features
implemented (inside 0.8). Examples: data pipelining and templates.
