Hi,
I tried below mentioned code in Client Side and Server side. I am
getting signature_invalid. Please help what I am doing wrong?
Client Side: (Also tried with POST, but the issue is same)
It started happening since yesterday (Mar 24th). The orkut sandbox has
issues retrieving my application xml from the URL
http://orkut.plan2share.com/p2s/gadget/orkut.jsp.
If I host the application xml on some other server it works fine.
I tried http://plan2share.com/p2s/gadget/orkut.jsp and

Jason,
I was using HAS_APP only to optimize my call for viewer friends, but
since found it not stable, I removed it and
so having no more experience. In my test there was only one friend
with app installed.
I can try to reproduce the problem if sombody in Orkut team is
interested to check it. For
Hi, and welcome to the group!
While the OpenSocial API cannot be used to add new friends, you can
use it to retrieve a list of existing friends for both the
application's owner (the individual who installed the application) and
the viewer (the individual who is currently using the application).

Hi Navaneeth. You should be able to use an array of OpenSocial IDs
with newFetchPeopleRequest() IF all of the specified persons have the
application installed themselves. Otherwise, the request will fail.
This is the expected result.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if the HAS_APP filter works w
Thanks Jason, for your reply.
In canvas view, line 27 of my js code seems to trigger the error in
canvas view, which is between request being sent and call back
function being invoked.
In profile view, something after execution of all of my code seems to
trigger the error.

Hi.
Does any developer or Google team know what happens if I request all
friends' keys, when having a lot of friends, like one thousand in
Orkut or ten thousand in Myspace? That is, the following request:
newFetchPersonAppDataRequest(opensocial.DataRequest.Group.VIEWER_FRIENDS,
"*")

Hi. Have you been able to narrow down where in your code the error is
triggered (e.g. which function or statement)?

I believe the maximum number of friends you can fetch is 1000. Note
that this is an orkut-specific limit.
Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce your error on my end. Try
running this quick sample in the CodeRunner development application
(available at the link below) and let me know if it works
I have done apps on Facebook, Friendster, Bebo and MySpace and naively
thought I could just use my Myspace code on Orkut but I don't see how
or I am missing something. So I have a bunch of questions
1. I read that to add an app you put in a URL which I did and I see a
canvas page of the XML file
Ok, Jason, Thanks.
But this launch process follow the announced?
First launch for 1% of English user and after for the other users?

Hi,
My application works sometimes fine, sometimes wrong.
Everytime I run it, my firebug(firefox's add-on) tells me that there
was an error occured, regardless of it seems to work or not.
here's the error:
