After you have tested your app, you need to submit it to Google for
review. If you scroll it the bottom of the App directory in Orkut.com,
you will find a link to submit your app xml and wai :)

you will have to helplessly wait (like me) for Google to review it.
I am surprised Google isnt giving transparency on the timelines of the
review process to its developers. Even the msg in Orkut says \"already
in directory\". Cant they atleast give a msg that says \"under
review\".

Sandbox has been provided just for this. The env replicates the live
in aspects that matter.
If you want a app for yourself, just keep in sandbox and dont apply for review.

Just an addendum. I think I worked through the Malformed xml issue by

Something I don't understand -
I got access to the sandbox. I was able to submit my application, and
then to "add" it, to my list of applications, and it
works OK.
But, then I went to "www.orkut.com"
(and not "http://sandbox.orkut.com/Home.aspx";
and I don't see my application in my list of app
For example these apps here -

can I see their code in any way, to learn from (that will help a-

I have two applications that utilize MakeRequest functionality and
both exhibited the same behaviour. Both are working this morning,
but only after I deleted and re-imported the apps. I'll post again if
they break.

In the Orkut Sandbox, there is a text box for you to enter a URL and
add the app this way:
http://sandbox.orkut.com/MyApps.aspx
This feature is not available on the production Orkut system though.
Only white listed apps can be added on the production system.
