Hello! I don't know where to post it or if this topic has has been discussed already, but this seems to be a very useful feature. If you belong in various small communities where important information is exchanged, but not very often, then instead of just blindchecking (and wasting network bandwidth) a notice (like with scraps) could pop up at the bottom when forum is posted, new member joined etc. By selecting which communities you want to observe, it would be one of the best features after the introduction of dynamic search from friendlist at the top.
