When your application is executed, it is executed on Orkut cache's domain (
orkut.gmodules.com), however your images are hosted elsewhere. AFAIK, the
only way is to specify the full path of the images.

Could it be a possibility of the path specified being relative to
orkut's base URL - http://www.orkut.com//something.jpg - whereas
your images are served by some other URL ?
You could perhaps check the complete image link - might help.
