- currently you can use opensocial apis (i) within orkut as an opensocial application or (ii) from outside orkut via friendconnect, which is available for web only currently. we're considering options to enable mobile app development with orkut opensocial apis, stay tuned. - regarding c++ on server side, as long as you can use JSON RPCs in C+ +, you should be ok with the REST APIs.
