As per the 0.7 spec, you need to use gadgets.io.makeRequest
However, this too isn't working for me. I keep getting a 404 in
Firebug for the request though I know the url is correct...
Anyone else facing this problem?

seems to be broken. The sandbox is just too unstable to be taken
