I hope not. If so, I'd really have to work on my sgi/Sun/HP/IBM machines 
till the day the last dies (which might take some decades, given that I 
saw a Sun IPC recently which was still 'on duty' in a small datacentre)...

WRT the IBM machines: I'm pretty sure they will announce Power6-based 
machines soon, thusly withdrawing the Power5(+) and PowerPC 970 (aka G5) 
based ones...
