After upgrading, my app is broken, and i notice:

You know that gcc 4.3.2 is available from the IPS packet manager? Just install
it as a package. You have to add the dev repository to the IPS to see that
package.

If you really want to compile yourself, then you should use the makefiles
especially for OpenSolaris. These makefiles are called spec files. Google on
CBE and spec files and you will see how to setup the OpenSolaris makefiles for
the various projects.

the Flash website for current OSOL distros and Solaris 10.
Maybe a postinstall script could help in checking for the correct audio
linkages on Solaris/OpenSolaris-based platforms.

lot, but in my opinion it is still rough on the edges especially as a
day-to-day desktop OS. So hopefully OpenSolaris development will be supported
after the merger.

directly from the official GNU site) on my installation of i386 OpenSolaris
2009.06.
1. [i]./configure --prefix=/usr/gnu --enable-shared --with-pic[/i]

music applications for osol: the client-server model makes mpd very Unixy.
