Hi!
I'd like to build netatalk in a non global zone. I installed gcc-dev in the
ipkg-zone, but make stops with the error "make: Fatal error: Command failed for
target `all-recursive'"
I guess, some libraries or executables are missing. How can I install an
ipkg-zone such that all crucial elem

I just received a kernel panic of a bug that is assumably fixed:

This bug seems to be related to FireWire drives. My HDs also have USB
interfaces. Is it possible to zpool export the pool, hook it to t

Where do I get more information? At least there is nothing more in syslog.

Hi!
This morning all members of a group vanished. The result was, that scripts
could not be executed due to missing permissions.
What circumstances can lead to such a behavior?

Hi!
I use a script to query a dataset from a DB2 and convert the output to
ISO-Latin1 using iconv:
iconv -t 8859-1 /tmp/anzeigen_roh.txt > /tmp/tb_anzeigen.txt
It works fine, when invoked from tty. When the script ist invoced by crontab, I
receive this error:
Not supported 646 to 8859-1

Well, I'm missing the /etc/crontab file. I never worked with the
crontab-command. But if /etc/cr
Hi!
I searched the OpenSolaris Bible and the internet but didn't find a suitable
answer to how to configure cron jobs in OpenSolaris? Any hint?

Hi!
I installed OpenSolaris 2009.06 natively on a current MacMini.
Everything works fine, except that die computer gets stuck at reboot
or shutdown. At that point it is necessary to push the power button
manually. Is that a bug in relation to EFI?

Hi!
I'm moving from OSX Server to an OpenSolaris box. There are some java services
to install and it's driving me nuts... The are some jar-Files that call classes
from the jar file jt400.jar. I always get:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: jt400/jar
Caused by: java.lang
