I have not been successfull in upgrading my generic (32bit)
openssl-libraries from 0.9.7 to 0.9.8 for our Solaris10/x86
systems. Creating the library in 64bit mode had no problems
at all but creating them in 32bit mode failed with Sun cc
as well as with gcc.
Could any one give me some hint
I had a similar problem with an Athlon no name computer running Solaris. When I
upgraded
to a newer Solaris version I was told by the install software that a firmware
patch for the
BIOS was needed. After installing the new BIOS version the problem vanished.
