The hard drive running my solaris died.
I had data on my slave drive with zfs partitions. Now I just assumed when i
installed a new solaris install on a new drive i would see my zfs partions on
the slave drive but i don't. Is that data also gone?

that gnutopkg worked fairly well thou I had to denote to myself the smf script
I am using to start tiny but it seems to do the trick. Why don't you like gnu
automake tools I noticed the UGH or does it need it's own thread? :) Thanks.

Is there any documentation on how to make packages for Solaris. Example I have
compiled a number of programs from source such as tinydns and made service
management scripts for them I would like to save them or even share them with
others.
