To fix it, goto /opt/VirtualBoxAdditions and run x11config15sol.pl as root.
restart X and you should be fine with the screen resize and mouse integration.
Also can you post if the VB 3.0

Thanks Artem but no joy here. Did as you did and it still doesn't work. Yes, I
have cpu virtualization. Windows Xp and Ubuntu guests work fine. There are no
obvious errors in Xorg.0.log. Since I put the xorg.conf file in place,
avahi-bridge-dsd goes into maintenance when the guest is booted.
