Stephen Lau announced [1] that ON build 41 was now available. He also announced

Michelle Olson announced [3] that an update of the documents consolidation was
now available, including source files for a number of books including Solaris

first annual OpenSolaris contributor awards, closing June 12th.

Andrew Gallatin proposed [11] a new project, MXGE, to port a proprietary,
vendor supplied Solaris GLDv2 ethernet driver for the Myricom 10GE NIC to an
OpenSolaris GLDv3 driver. Robert Thurlow proposed [12] a CIFS client for
Solaris, a
virtual file system on Solaris providing access to servers which support the
CIFS protocol, which is the natural file sharing protocol on Windows; Samba
on Unix/Linux is a CIFS server implementation.
