We got the same information from HP in a response to an RFP. So I'd say it's
official. That doesn't mean it's right (nor that it's the whole story). There's
enough confusion that it's conceivable that one part of HP (or Oracle) doesn't
know what the other part is doing.

I don't surmise that will be the situation.
Orace is currently tunning OpenSolaris for the x86 platform,mainly Intel:

for solaris and opensolaris will begin to emerge,
