Please lets leave the license out of the discussion for a while.
It is important, but lets leave it alone, and talk about the
code.

A big +1, As long as it does not become a sfw like graveyard for old software.
I really don't give 2 hoots, whether it is called /usr/IloveGPL or
/usr/wtf. As long as it tries to maintain the recent version's of popular
software, I will use it!
