This seems to be a general trend with many open source and GNU projects. As 
soon as somebody comes along and points out to all the hacks (or even provides 
the fixes for them), they get a cold shoulder. I've seen this numerous times 
now.

It's as if the geeks are only happy if they just hack it up and get it to work, 
and value cleanliness, quality and scalability as much as dirt.

I will never understand that mentality.
