stmsboot doesn't help much, in order to make your root file system(boot file system) on the SAN. I don't want any local disk on the V240!!! the stmsboot just enable\disable the STMS after the server reboot itself. then all the devices change form into STMS device files. But the question is - can

thanks ... I think it is the easiest way. That is what I was doing for some time now. Did you try to do it on LUN with MPxIO(STMS device)? Generally speaking yes. Details depend on what FCode your QLogic card is using - QLogic native or Sun native. I would recommend using Sun' FCode, but both
