I just got an Adaptec 2405 and would like it to work with OpenSolaris. Can you
tell me how you got your card working with Solaris? (i may need to switch to
that)

Many of LSI's HBA's can be flashed to change their firmware.
I've got a LSI SAS3081E-R, its a PCI-e x8 card which I have in a x16 slot on a
ASUS M2A-VM, uses the mpt driver as reported above.
I've flashed it with their Initiator/Target (IT) firmware which replaces the
Integrated Raid (IR) firmw
LSI 3800X, PCI-X card, also compatible with 64bit PCI at 66 Mhz, I've used it
now for 2 years in an Ultra 80, SunBlade 1000 and a 280R, supports OpenBoot so
you can boot off any hard drive connected to it you like. Can't flash upgrade
the board though, the tools to do so, only exist on Windblo
