I made an error I did use accidently an old 056 putty version not the below
mentioned one. It works with the 0.58 version.

I use http://www.sweb.cz/v_t_m/putty/PuTTY-0.58-GSSAPI-2005-07-24.zip on
my Windows machine. I use AD as kdc and have added my OpenSolaris system
to AD for Kerberos authentication. All work fine between Unix systems and
with SecurCRT from Windows. But when using the above mentioned putty tool
I get an error:
sshd[1935]: [ID 800047 auth.crit] fatal: buffer_get: trying to get more
bytes 1024 than in buffer 0
Putty works fine against any other kerberised Unix sshd daemon (SLES9
with Heimdal, AIX/Sun with MIT Kerberos)
Has anybody experienced this before ?
No but then I don't have AD around anywhere.
Do other kerberos services work on the OpenSolaris machine ?
eg kinit/klist
Which OpenSolaris distro/build are you running ?
What does your /etc/krb5/krb5.conf on the OpenSolaris machine look like?
Send the full output of running the sshd on OpenSolaris with debug
enbaled eg: /usr/lib/ssh/sshd -d -d -d -p2222 [ and configure putty to
connect to port 2222 instead ].
Please send this to [EMAIL PROTECTED] [ which is where
they replies to this message are set ].
