Have you tried an upgrade?
That would be one way to see if the problem is with the b105 code base
or with the installer.
Yes, I did get it upgraded to B105, so it looks like an installer issue
to me.

I have encountered a problem booting the install DVD for SXCE-105
on a MacPro, which happily allowed me to install from a DVD with
SXCE-99, has anyone encountered this problem? It seemingly hangs

Yes, I did an upgrade, via bfu, to b105 that works/boots fine, so I suspect
there is some
issue in the installer.
