try booting with ACPI disabled (each option 2, 4, 8)

After it boots init 5 and see if it powers off. If it does just add the switch
to your /boot/grub/menu.lst

I upgrade to b129 and that seems to have fixed the sound problem. I am still
having poweroff problem using the suggested workaround of psradm -f 1

It's been so long running on Opensolaris without utilizing the full potential
