Unfortunately I had tried this, was trying to boot from the DVD and found the
Failsafe image in Grub. fsck'd with it mounted and with it not mounted, no
difference.
Just for laughs I tried once again without luck.

Boot back up onto the DVD of snv_67 and open a command window after the
language or boot up onto Solaris failesafe and do not mount the root if you do
unmount it i.e umount /a, then run fsck the device path is needed i.e:
fsck -F ufs -o b=32 /dev/rdsk/c1d0s0
If you keep having issues, reinstall

During fsck, I receive the error:
EXCESSIVE DUPLICATE INODE
CONTINUE?
This happens a few times, I type "yes" at the CONTINUE prompt. After some time
it goes into PHASE 1b to "Rescan for More DUPS".
This is when I receive the "BAD STATE 0x52 TO BLKERR" error.

hrm... Things seemed to be going well, installed some packages and was building
some stuf from source and my box crashed.
fsck cannot seem to repair at this point either.
Running the fsck command:
fsck -F ufs -o b=32 /c1d0s0
I go to some magical pass called "1b" where is rechecks for duplicate
I am running a Asus N2N-PV-VM MB and it loaded OK but the video only recognized
the nv video with the driver and I was only able to get 3 choices
gnome-display-properties of 1024x768 , 800x600, and 640x480, but then I ran
the /usr/X11/bin/scanpci

The Ultra 40 workstation has the nvidia MCP55
and so does the X2200 M2 series machines. Although these
boxes have the "nforce Professional 3600" version of the chipset.
not the "consumer" variant. Both the Nvidia 570 and 590 consumer chipsets
