I think the only noticeable limitation with 32-bit processor is amount of RAM
supported. Otherwise it should be fast.

If you use zfs with P4, 32 bits, you will get something like 20-30MB/sec read
write speed to your zfs raid. You need 64bit cpu to get full r/w speed, because
zfs is 128bit.
