Kristian/Jan: Agreed, VT is very useful and I am really excited that it seems this code is finally integrating into Solaris/OpenSolaris. I can not speak for the Virtual Terminals team, but I do not think the initial delivery of VT will be functional. I believe it is turned off initially.
