You can install Solaris 8 on a Solaris 10 machine, via virtual machines called
"Zones". There are automated tools to install S8 Zones on S10. I suggest you
just install S8 on S10 and just try your software. I think you can just tar the
entire S8 and install it on a S10 zone. Automatically.

How can I find a list of supported ABI compatibility matrix for
Solaris ? I know solaris famous with its backward compatibility but I
need to run Solaris 2.5.1 binary on Solaris 8 (or maybe later). Is
that supported? By the way how can I find the latest hardware that
Solaris 2.5.1 supports? (m
