I have burned three DVD's: 1) Linux using mkisofs, 2) OpenSolaris using cdrw,
and 3) Windows using nero. Only the Linux DVD is not recognized on SunFire
V440 with DVD Reader.
My question is this: "If I dump the DVD contents, using 'od' is there something
in the DVD header to give me a clue why

I had this same problem; It due to the Solaris and BSD, GRUB can no longer boot
the release version of Windows Vista, Unless a Unique Identifier (UUID) is
keepted in the MBR.
