Hi:
Is anyone experiencing the same problem as I do? The network interface would
stop working after an extended period of use, even ifconfig and dladm show that
the interface is up.
Thanks

Brian,
Thanks for your help. Doing a zpool export usbstorage before converting into a
internal drive, and doing a zpool import usbstorage after that worked. You have
saved me a lot of hours of copying of those files. Thanks again!

Keith

Hi:
I am a newbie with zfs, so I apologize if I did no look deep enough before
posting. I am trying to create a zfs filesystem so I can take snapshots of the
file system. So, I create a file system like this:
rpool/export/vm 44.7G 744G 19.7G /export/vm
rpool/export/vm/linux
Thanks to everyone who replied. I have successfully switch over to OpenSolaris
without much problem. System response seems to be much better than SXCE.
The IPS, although it is very convenient, has some packages whose names are
confusing. For instance, there are so many difference netbeans pkgs,
hi:
Is there a way I can merge or roll-up a snapshot to the current snapshot? For
instance, zfs list shows:
rpool/ROOT14.4G 788G19K legacy
rpool/ROOT/opensolaris58.2M 788G 5.83G /
rpool/ROOT/opensolaris-2 1
With SXCE EOL drawing near, I am thinking of switching over to opensolaris from
SXCE. Is there any document on how to upgrade the current SXCE install over to
opensolaris? I'm am going to miss the well integrated desktop that Sun puts out
in the SXCE distribution. StarOffice 9, CDE for backward
I think I found the problem to the failure to poweroff on my machine. By
removing the audio drive, audio_hd, (rem_drv audiohd), I can now poweroff my
machine successfully.

Hi:
I have been having static sounds intermittently on my Dell Studio XPS 435MT

this bug is supposedly fixed in snv 122? If not, how do I g
I have a Studio XPS 435MT. It runs fine with ATI 4670 on SXCE 117 - 121.
However, you will not have hardware acceleration for the graphics card. I ended
up replacing the ATI card with nVidia 9600. One annoying thing is that it can
rarely poweroff the system when you shutdown. It would stop short
