OpenSSL users keep reporting problem with bntest/BN_add on Linux. I
looked through the archive and noticed that "BN_add test fails on
Caldera OpenLinux 1.3" was hanging in STATUS for quite a time. It was
removed by Ulf in May with "Caldera OpenLinux passes test now" comment.

I suppose we have a problem with the openssl library.
telnet-ssl comes from netkit-telnet, which itself does not show the
problems. telnet-ssl has the patches from the former SSLtelnet
included. I have reproduced the problem with openssl 0.9.3a and
0.9.4.
