I'm confused here...
I like to buy a certificate from verisign or thawte that allows me to
sign other certificates. The test certificate produced have the
extension CA:FALSE. I'm not sure if I can sign anything with this kind
of certificate, please advise...

I have created a certificate and I use it to sign my message in clear
text using outlook... I receive this message on another mailer evolution
which does not handle smime. I save the message to disk and ask openssl
to verify it.
openssl smime -verify -in messagesmime.tx

I however have difficulty getting the -certopt option to work.
I try to run "openssl x509 -text -certopt ext_parse -in newcert.pem -out
newcert.crt" but get an error that says -certopt is not an option.
Please advise on how to run the -certopt option.
