In a schema like this,
Net 1 DMZ Net 2
C --- R1 - R2 - S
C: SSL client
S: SSL server (only server certificate required)
R1: R
I don't know about regulations in France, but AFAIK, this limitation
applies to symetric keys, not private/public keys.
I think 384/512 bit RSA keys provide the same level of security as 64
bit DES keys.
