Dear All,
Searching the archives of openssl-*, I did not find much
references to OpenSSL and CDSA. Thus, I would like to convey some nice
news regarding the two.

CDSA 2.0 is a security infrastructure developed by
Intel and others. The Open Group standards organisation adopted it as a
standard and it is even available from www.opengroup.org in PDF/HTML form.

CDSA 2.0 can accept a variety of cryptographic toolkits, since it
does not itself provide any cryptographic primitives.

Intel and others are doing an implementation of CDSA 2.0 and
distribute it under the BSD licence + export restrictions. The current
version is 1.3 and among the highlights is that one of the available
cryptographic toolkits supported is OpenSSL (0.9.5a).

Currently, there is a Windows.* implementation available although
there is a planned one for Linux (and others?) for August/September.
The Linux port is being done by Intel, Bull and Caldera Systems.

The above information were taken from
http://developer.intel.com/ial/security/

Looking forward for the Linux port,
Simos Xenitellis
