Hi Wangster, Are you sure the web-server is your problem ? Are you connecting with your browser and seeing that you have only 40 bit encryption ? If the latter is the case then it's because your Netscape Browser or IE are export grade (which is the case if you are resident outside the U.S. I think what is happening is that your Apache server figures out that your browser can't cope with 128 bit encryption. To upgrade/test your browsers capability go to www.fortify.net (upgrade only valid for Netscape). To upgrade IE5 go to www.swisskey.ch and click on "software", somewhere there is the patch for IE5. I've just setup Apache/1.3.9 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.4.10 OpenSSL/0.9.4. I used the 'make certificate' directive with TYPE=custom to setup my server so that it acts as its own CA. Everything works exactly as I expected except that I can not figure out how to make it do 128bit encryption instead of 40. Also, now that I have the server all up and running, how do I install a new cert (assuming I can figure out how to make a 128bit version) ? If anyone can point me in the proper direction, it would be greatly apreciated.
