HI Aniruddha,
If you don't find the documentation to be consistent with the behaviour,
you might want to wait for this to get into the trunk:
https://review.openstack.org/#change,5164
To get started, Devstack is my bet. Reading the devstack deployment
and excercise scripts will
be a lot helpful t
I have also been trying to find a cli to get a user's role in a
particular tenant.
I could not do that even with db tables mapping. Following are the fields
in the tables:
tenant table -> tenant_Id, name, extras
user_tenant_membership -> user_id, tenant_id
user table -> id, name, extra
role tab
are using ?
It will be helpful if you also paste the keystone.conf file.

This seems to be solved after this was committed:

It was working for me after this. Does your code have the changesets
from the above commit ?

The port specified in the SERVICE_ENDPOINT may not be correct. The
default admin port is
35357.
Please try with:
$ export SERVICE_ENDPOINT=http://192.168.1.211:35357/v2.0
$ keystone user-list
Its working for me. I am using the latest trunk code.

Hi Thierry,
The following links mentioned in the email are not working for me:
https://launchpad.net/proj/+milestone/essex-rc1
https://launchpad.net/proj/+milestone/essex-4
https://github.com/openstack/PROJ/tree/milestone-proposed
Launchpad shows the 'Lost something' page and Github shows the '4
Besides that, there are more errors with nova-manage command. I had
launched a ticket regarding
this a couple of days before:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/940083 with one of the reasons
for error.
I can propose a fix if somebody can confirm the bug.

Hi All,
I have just pushed a two line patch for

This patch is pushed to cloudbuilders/devstack.git but in another
thread, I just read that there's
one more devstack repo openstack-dev/devstack.git. On c
I use Devstack for development purposes and the environment settings are
critical for me. So, once my Devstack setup is done,
I usually take a snapshot and hence whenever anything gets screwed up, I
simply fire the snapshot. Also I keep my source code files

Hi Anne,
Is it possible to record the Doc Day presentation you are planning ?
Its helpful for those who are remote.
Thanks,

Each time I install Devstack, and try the Quantum cmds, it doesn't work.
So I have to manually do a
$ python setup.py build and $ python setup.py install
for the quantum package and then it works all fine.
Did anyone else face the same problem with any other packages ? My env is
Ubuntu 111
Thanks Jay,
The slides were __really__ nice to get started with Openstack QA. I am
going to give it a shot and get back if I run into problems.
However, can we subscribe/let know if there are more follow-on webinars in
the future.
Thanks,
Deepak
