[Openstack] [Swift] Upgrade Swift from ver1.4 to ver1.8

Hi, all, My group downloads and installs the Openstack Swift of version 1.4 and wants to upgrade it to 1.8. However, we don't want to abandon all the data we have collected during the period. Does anyone can tell me how to upgrade the swift without dropping all the data? Thanks! Jonathan
