Java 7 includes a pluggable filesystem abstraction, so I created a basic filesystem provider for Swift using the Java OpenStack bindings. It is available here: https://github.com/platformlayer/openstack-fileprovider
If anyone is interested in using this, please let me know and I'll fix up any bugs you find! There's almost no documentation out there on how to do this, so I don't think any of the legacy clouds support this. Another small step forward for OpenStack!
