Hello Heiko,
what kind of connections do you see in TIME_WAIT status?
All connections to the object-server (Port 6000) ?
Are the container- and account-server on the same host?
How many PUTs and GETs do you receive per second?
Best Regards
Klaus

harddisks so much time?
Will it be faster if I add more memory?

Hi,
I have a swift cluster with 7 storagenodes. The cluster has about 360 million
objects with an average size of 170kB.
I added 2 new harddrives to my cluster and now it takes weeks for one
replication round:
Feb 10 09:40:41 storage-node1 object-replicator: 7698658 suffixes checked -
9.03% h
d the performance
gradually degrades when the disks start filling up and the machines are running
low on memory.
We have about 6TB on a node to sync.
Cheers,

Hi,
after adding additional disks and storing the account- and container-server on
SSDs the performance is much better:
Before:
GETs average 620 ms
PUTs average 1900 ms
After:
GETs average 280 ms
PUTs average 1100 ms

Have you taken a look at Network traffic condition?

+ Check the proxys ram ... if there starving, try restarting them and check if
your performance recover

Hi,
my Swift cluster is working for three weeks now as a mail storage and the
performance is getting slower and slower.
This is my hardware configuration:
