Hello TripleO team!
Thanks to your input on the last round (which corrected the owls eyes to have a
yellow circle, and make the mascot not cross-eyed), we have a final version for
your team.
Here’s a quick look at the logo:

Hello Ironic team,
Thanks for your comments on the last round. Here is the latest Pixie Boots
mascot (in every variation) ready for your downloading pleasure. We’ll also be
updating these to a public repo and to openstack.org/project-mascots, but
please be patient as our fab web team is slammed

Hi Storlets team,
Your team selected a storklet as a project mascot, and our illustrators
developed this draft. While you sent us a picture of a nesting storklet (where
we couldn’t see the legs), the illustrator thought showing the legs would best

Hello Zun team, I apologize that your mascot choice was listed wrong on
openstack.org/project-mascots. It should have shown as (not chosen) but instead
showed up as Tricircle’s chosen mascot, the panda. The error is entirely my
fault, and we’ll get it fixed on the website shortly. Thanks for you
The Product Work Group and the Foundation have created a new track for the
Boston Summit dedicated exclusively to project updates. We wanted to give you
some additional details so that you can speak with your PTLs at the Project
Teams Gathering and plan to update the community on your efforts.
Amid the spirited discussion on your mascot, I wanted to clear up confusion
about our next steps and your options.
1. I’ve taken Carlos’s sketches to our illustration team to ask them to make
the original TripleO owl in the style of the new logo family. This takes a bit

Hi Ironic team,
[TL;DR - we agree to Miles’ proposal for two images (one mascot, one logo) for
different contexts. We’re looking for any final feedback on the stylized logo
for use on the website, while the PixieBoots mascot remains yours for swag,
etc.]

Hi Dan,
I’m glad you asked! The value of creating a family of logos is in communicating
that OpenStack projects work together. While the some of the designs of the
existing mascots were great, none of them looked like they were part of the
same family, and that sent a message to the market that
Hi Ironic team,
Thanks for your feedback, especially helping us to ensure that the mascot would
be culturally appropriate worldwide. Our most recent offering to the team was
generally liked, with a request to cut it off at the middle (head/arms/top of
the stomach) per Dmitry. Note this version

Hi Morgan,
I don’t know if the illustrator meant to hide a keystone in the illustration,
or if you just saw one, but either way that’s brilliant! And don’t worry -
these will definitely get color, but right now we’re submitting gray versions
for review because it speeds the process (gets it out

Hi Julien,
The logos are offered on a per-project basis, based on the Yaml file that
listed 57 projects approved by the TC. Thanks for asking me to clarify!

Overall, the response to this has been hugely positive and we have more than
half of project PTLs responding so far. More questions are very welcome.
