e gnome desktop environment
is missing (evolution is made for gnome..) ?
Any suggestions / hints are welcome !
How could I start "debugging" this ..? some log file maybe?

I have a problem with the kpowersave's standby -option..
When I set in "enable specific display power management" => standby after N min
and wait N minutes, the screen goes off OK, but when I want to
reactivate the screen, say moving a mouse or typing something, I just
get a blank scre
nyone have any similar experiences?
How could I start debugging this thing?
(I also have problems when trying to
automount some CDs and memory sticks
(quite randomly). The system complains something
about "hal".. but this is not urgent).
Please help!

I had a similar problem with HP tx1000 laptop.
When the screen goes to sleep, the X-server
must be started again..
..or alternative you can type ctrl+alt+F5 and (or?) ctrl+alt+F7
(one of these starts the display mode again). This did the
trick for me, so at least I dont have to start
