Hi I am able to use Adobe Reader 8.1.1 on OpenSUSE 10.3 without any problem .Make sure that the PATH variable is set to include <installation dir>/Adobe/Reader8/bin. The “Get extensions” page must have taken you to the download page on adobe.com. So, I am afraid this should make any difference. Could you please tell if it happens with all PDF files, or with a particular file. Also, what is the version of the firefox you are using? And, if any other PDF application is also associated with your browser.
