Just clean-installed openSUSE 10.3 on a new system. The articles about
it say that there is a C compiler in it but I can't find it. cc and gcc
are not present. Neither is make or nmake. When I try to install
software packages from the Suse 'oss' web sites using YAST, it aborts
out without error
Fixed. Apparently, I have to manually tell Suse to add the OSS
repository (as well as others) to the list of repositories to be
searched. Once I stumbled across that, suddenly, I can install
packages.
