Anyone know the proper procedure to get X to work on 845G video? On Beta1 on first boot after install from KDE iso, after clicking continue when release notes is displayed, the screen goes blank and never recovers. On reboot and choosing not to continue installation, then trying 'sax2 -r -a', then startx, the screen goes blank and stays that way until X is killed. I tried manually changing the xorg.conf driver from intel to i810, but that didn't help. Xorg.0.log has no (EE) entries.
FWIW, Kubuntu on same system installed and configured X correctly. I copied its xorg.conf using i810 driver to Beta1, deleted the entire files section, and now X in Beta1 works fine. -- " It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible."
