I have issued: zypper in google-chrome-stable_current_x86_64.rpm and/or downloaded and just installed it from the download dialog, I can run it from a terminal prompt but can't find it's launcher anywhere. Also, I have installed skpe and skpe recorder, Groupwise client etc., same results, icons are not present anywhere.
Observation: The icons to launch these apps (which used to just install under opensuse 11.4), don't show up where I'd expect to find them (if at all). Question: When I install an application that doesn't show up in the "activities/applications" window, how do I create a launcher for it? Workaround: copy/paste a working .desktop file, modify it, save it... This doesn't sound very user friendly, maybe I'm missing something here.
